FPV Plane
With a go-kart to travel on land and an E-foil to traverse water, all that remained was to conquer the skies. Unfortunately, making an actual plane was a bit too costly for me, so I found the closest you can get to flying without a full sized plane: an FPV Plane. For this project, I started by researching and buying each individual component, ranging from the frame of the plane to the flight controller. After buying parts, I began assembling and wiring the drone together. When the aircraft was fully assembled, I configured all the controls, limits, and failsafes using the open-source program INAV. All that was left was to fly the plane and tune the PID values for smoother flight. This project gave me the opportunity to learn more about soldering, wiring , and the importance of iteration (It crashed very shortly after the first take-off, I fixed it the same day though).
